- Kennitra Johnson,
5'8", Guard, New Albany - We saw Kennitra last year at the Crown Point
Shootout. She has excellent skills and is considered one of the top college
prospects in the nation. Known for her quickness and ability to create
shots off the dribble, she averaged 19.9 ppg last year as a junior. Member
of the Junior All Star Team, she is a solid candidate for Miss Basketball.

- April McDivitt,
5'7", Guard, Connersville - We first saw April at the 1995 AAU Nationals.
She was amazing then, and has just gotten better every year. She is considered
one of the top college prospects in the nation, and just recently gave
a verbal commitment to attend the University of Tennessee. Known for her
floor leadership, April averaged 17.8 ppg and 6.4 assists last year. Member
of the Junior All-Star Team, she is the leading candidate for Miss Basketball

- Kristy Thomann,
5'10", Forward, North Vermillion - Saw Kristy at several AAU tournaments
throughout her career. She averaged 24.5 ppg last year, and can flat out
score from anywhere on the floor. Member of the Junior All-Star Team. VERBAL

- Elizabeth English,
5'6", Guard, Rushville - The Region area fans will see Elizabeth at
this year's Crown Point Shootout on January 2. Recognized as one of Indiana's
best shooting guards, she averaged 22.7 ppg last year. A definite All-State
selection this year. Member of the Junior All-Star Team. VERBAL

- Jenna Hayes,
6'2", Center, Indianapolis Roncalli - The top center in Indiana this
year, Jenna averaged 16.9 ppg last year and ruled the boards. Excellent
defensive skills, Jenna averaged almost 4 blocks a game last year. Member

- Jeanette Gray*,
5'10", Forward, Valparaiso - Junior All-Star and All-State candidate,
Jeanette was also named an AAU All-American this summer. She's a fierce
competitor. Averaged 15.5 ppg last year and should be THE dominating player
in the Region this year. She is being heavily recruited by Valparaiso University

- Kristin Cheairs*,
5'7", Guard, Gary West Side - Confident and quick, Kristin may very
well lead Gary West Side to their first State Championship this year. Averaged
17 points last year, and gave Lake Central all they could at last year's
Merrillville Regional. Member of the Junior All-Star Team.
- Jill Hartman,
5'11", Forward, Evansville Memorial - Averaged 24.1 ppg last year,
she is considered a top college prospect. Good ball handling skills can
penetrate from the wing and post up. Excellent rebounder who blocks out
well, and plays solid defense. Member of the Junior All-Star Team. VERBAL

- Amy Zercher,5'9",
Guard, Northwood - We saw Amy at the Penn Shootout last year, and she is
one tough player. Plays with intensity. Solid defender who is quick and

- Laurie Kitts,
5'10", Forward, Eastbrook - Indiana's 1997-98 scoring leader, Laurie
averaged 28.5 ppg last year. A pure shooter who finds a way to score. Member

- Jackie Campbell*,
5'11", Guard/Forward, Chesterton - We have watched Jackie play since
her freshman year. She has started every year and has developed into one
of the state's best all-around players. She can score from beyond the arch
or post up with the big girls. Member of the Junior All-Star Team. Jackie
just recently made a verbal commitment to play at Colorado State. VERBAL

- Courtney Cooper,
5'10", Forward, Martinsville - One of the most under-rated players
in the state. Has played a major role in Martinsville's back to back state
championships. Can shoot from the outside or post up. A consistent player
who gives 100% on the floor.
- Scmeyko Bolden,
5'11", Forward, Evansville Bosse - Quick, strong, and aggressive on
both offense and defense. We hear she has the whole package. Averaged 24.2
ppg as a junior. Considered a top college prospect.
- Erin Rhodes,
6'0", Center/Forward, Oak Hill - Very strong in the post, controls
the boards. Played on Indiana's Finest 15u National Championship Team in
1997, and was voted AAU Player of the Year. VERBAL

- Amy Waugh,
5'6", Guard, Homestead - Great defender, who can also score. Sees
the floor well. Has great skills and is considered one of the best all-
around guards in the state.
- Maria Recker,
5'10", Forward, Dekalb - Expected to become a real scoring threat
from both outside and inside this year because of her size. Excellent rebounder.
Averaged 16.7 ppg last year. Member of the Junior All-Star Team. VERBAL

- Kristin Lowery,
6'2", Forward/Center, Logansport - We have seen Kristin play the past
two year's in the Crown Point Shootout. She has great hands and runs the
floor well for a big girl. Good shot blocker. Member of the Junior All-Star

- Emily Butler,
5'6", Guard, Center Grove - Talk about setting a high standard, Emily
was the only freshman ever to be named MVP in the state finals. She has
excellent skills. Member of the Junior All-Star Team.
- Natalie Will,
5'10", Forward, Northwood - We also saw Natalie play at the Penn Shootout
last year. She is an physical in the post player who plays with a lot of
intensity. Member of the Junior All-Star Team.
- Cara Stuckey,
5'6", Guard, Terre Haute South - Runs the show for Terre Haute South,
she's an intelligent floor leader who can score. Holds the record for most
consecutive three points shots. Member of the Junior All-Star Team.
