Crown Point '06 grad Hannah Plumley (right) will play basketball at Division II Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Florida, this season. The 5'8 guard/forward was a senior leader for the 11-11 Bulldogs, coached by Tom May last season. A three-year starter, Plumley played up to four positions for the Bulldogs during her career, mainly spending time at the wing.
Says Coach May about Plumley, "Hannah is a leader who leads through example and hard work."
That penchant for hard work paid off for the scrappy guard when she took the initiative to visit Eckerd and two other Sunshine State Conference programs on her own this past summer. The result was the opportunity to join the Tritons roster under new head coach Paul Honsinger.
Plumley's sister, Ashley Plumley, a 2002 Crown Point grad who also played basketball for the Bulldogs, was a member of the Eckerd women's volleyball team for the past four years. Photo courtesy of strempkagallery.com.
