The Lady Bulldogs picked up their second DAC win and delivered Coach May's 350th career win with a convincing 28-point win over a physical and determined Merrillville team.
 
The 'Dogs jumped out to a 21-4 lead by the end the first quarter behind 10 points from senior Sarah Zondor in the quarter and never looked back.

 

The Bulldogs owned the boards on the night, out-rebounding Merrillville 48-19. Merrillville's tallest player was 5'10, and Crown Point made the most of their opportunities, scoring five buckets off of offensive putbacks.  The 'Dogs controlled this one from beginning to end in all aspects of the game.

    


Junior Alex Webster looks to get the pass inside.  Webster had 7 assists to go with her 14 points against the Pirates.


 

Balanced scoring from Crown Point's starting five accounted for 60 of Crown Point's 70 points on the night. Leading scorer for CP was senior Sarah Zondor with 16, followed by Alex Webster with 14, 12 for Carissa Triplett, 10 for Amanda Bernard, and 8 for Nikki Borys. Borys also picked up a near double-double on the night with 13 rebounds. Webster led the team in assists with 7, while Bernard and Zondor shared the lead in the steals category with three apiece.
